Salary: $25,000.00 - $27,500.00 Annually Location: Springfield, MA Job Type: Academic Faculty - 9 months Job Number: 00447 Department: Psychology Description Springfield College invites applications for a one-semester visiting assistant professor in the Psychology Department. Position responsibilities include teaching primarily at the undergraduate level. Opportunities to support graduate student research may be possible. The Psychology Department, housed in the School of Arts and Sciences, is a vibrant department that includes a large undergraduate major, and a Counseling Psychology, Psy. D. program. Actual salaries will vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to degrees attained, experience, and other considerations permitted by law. Comprehensive compensation details, including any additional benefits, will be communicated upon finalization of the employment offer. Qualifications Successful candidates for the one-semester visiting assistant professor position must have or be in the process of earning a doctoral degree in Psychology. The College is seeking applicants with a record of research publication and scholarly achievement, and demonstrated excellence in teaching and advising students at the undergraduate level. In particular, applicants should demonstrate the potential to teach courses in one or more of the following areas: Abnormal Psychology and/or Health Psychology.
