Avenue K, Lancaster, CA Job Type: Adjunct Job Number: RN26-29 (2300314) Department: Arts & Humanities Closing Date: Continuous ANTICIPATED START DATE: Establishing a Pool RANGE: Adjunct instructors are hired on a semester basis and are paid per lecture hour equivalent (LHE). Minimum - $87.04 (less than a masters) and Maximum - $94.12 (Doctorate) DESCRIPTION Antelope Valley College invites applications for our adjunct (Temporary, part-time) faculty applicant pool for the following: Theatre Arts Instructor. REPRESENTATIVE DUTIESInstruct students in the assigned discipline Assignment may include teaching courses during the day, evening, on-line courses and/or off-campus sites MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Applicant Must meet one of the following requirements:Master's or Master of fine Arts in drama/theater arts/performance OR Bachelor's or Bachelor of Fine Arts in drama/theater arts/performance AND Master's in comparative literature, English, Communication studies, speech, literature or humanities OR the Equivalent. Antelope Valley College Equivalency: Senate Approved 7/2/26 Any Master's degree AND at least 5 years of experience in theater direction, technical theater direction, and/or musical theater direction OR Any Masters' degree ad current possession of California Single Subject Theater Teaching Credential OR Bachelor's or Bachelor of Fine Ars in drama/theater/performance AND a masters' with at least 30 upper division and graduate credits in drama/theater arts/performance with a minimum of 15 of these at the graduate level AND a sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students (tit. 5 § 53024.1).
