About this position
The Department of English, Theatre, and World Languages seeks adjunct faculty to teach face-to-face undergraduate Theatre courses. Applicants must have a PhD in Theatre Studies or a Master’s Degree in Theatre or MFA or other terminal degree in Theatre or a closely related field that includes a minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in Theatre. All degrees must come from accredited institutions. Strong consideration will be given to candidates with demonstrated professional experience and success in undergraduate teaching.Applicants should submit a cover letter, a current CV, and a sample Introduction to Theatre syllabus. Minimum Training and Experience Requirements: Applicants must have a PhD in Theatre Studies or a Master’s Degree in Theatre or MFA or other terminal degree in Theatre or a closely related field that includes a minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in Theatre. All degrees must come from accredited institutions. Strong consideration will be afforded to candidates who exhibit a demonstrated record of professional experience and success in undergraduate teaching. Prefer prior experience teaching in higher education. Special Instructions to Applicants: This position is subject to the successful completion of an employment background check.
