Job Number: AY 26.27 1125B Job Summary Kutztown University of Pennsylvania enrolls approximately 7,500 students across its graduate and undergraduate programs. Located in a charming rural setting in Kutztown, Pennsylvania, the University is just a 20-minute drive from the metropolitan areas of Allentown/Bethlehem and Reading, and about an hour from the Philadelphia metropolitan area. The University seeks to hire employees with experience working with diverse populations. The Department of Society, History, and Culture seeks a part-time Sociologist at the Instructor level to teach two classes in Spring 2027. The successful candidate will have teaching experience with courses commensurate with the department's needs. Experience teaching in one or more of the following areas is preferred: medical sociology, sociology of education, race and ethnicity, social problems, family, and gender. In accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement, performance review and evaluation of faculty is based on effective teaching and fulfillment of professional responsibilities; continuing scholarly growth; and service.
