Position description The Jacobs School of Engineering at UCSD has multiple opportunities for temporary, non-tenure track lecturers (Unit 18) in our Masters of Advanced Studies (MAS) Degree Programs. Unit 18 Lecturers are governed by the Memorandum of Understanding (Contract | UCnet). We seek applicants to teach at the graduate level in the master's degree programs Convergent Systems Engineering (CoSE) or the Architecture-Based Enterprise Systems Engineering (AESE). The full list of MAS courses offered may be found on the MAS website: Engineering Professional Master's Degrees | Jacobs School of Engineering Additional responsibilities of the Unit 18 Lecturer will include: Grading: Lecturers are responsible for turning in grades and other student records by the assigned due date. Feedback: Lecturers should provide constructive feedback to students. They may also advise students on academic matters. Other responsibilities: Lecturers may be required to supervise teaching assistants, keep office hours, and respond to inquiries from students, departments, and other university personnel.
