Job Summary Division/Department Information The Department of Physics is committed to providing an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students, faculty and staff from all backgrounds and thrive. Job Responsibilities Responsibilities The Department of Physics is seeking candidates for the position of non-tenure track, Adjunct Assistant Professor. The successful candidate should have a demonstrated commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching. The successful candidate will:Teach one 2-hour labs and one 1-hour recitation each week Deliver instruction clearly, efficiently, and professionally in lab demonstration and recitation practice Assess student performance through lab reports, recitation quizzes, etc. and submit grades in accordance with university policies Manage and update course materials through Canvas as required by the department Competencies, Education, Experience Qualifications Ph. D. in Physics, Applied Physics, Engineering, or closely related area. Previous undergraduate teaching experience is preferred. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
