The ideal candidate must have a passion for teaching and learning and a strong commitment to the missions and values of the community college. They must have community college experience teaching Human Anatomy, Human Physiology, and/or combined Human Anatomy and Physiology. We are looking for excellent instructors who are student-centered in their approach and dedicated to student success, have interest in curriculum and instructional improvement through ongoing critical thinking about student learning outcomes in courses and programs. Applicants must meet the minimum academic requirements listed in order to be considered for the pool of qualified candidates. Applicants that meet the minimum requirements are not automatically accepted to teach at Chabot. Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Deliver organized lectures to teach the topics as listed in the course outline of record, which can be located at http://curricunet.com/chabot/, search under course; 2. Evaluate students using formative assessments such as homework assignments, quizzes and exams; 3. Teach in-person lab curriculum, that includes cadaver dissections, to satisfy the course outline of record in collaboration with the lab technician and lead faculty for Anatomy (BIOS 42), Physiology (BIOS 43), or Anatomy & Physiology (BIOS 15); 4.
