Riggs School of Applied Life Sciences Job Description: Position Overview: The primary responsibility of the Adjunct Faculty member is teaching. We are seeking adjunct faculty to teach a series of 5 workshops on project management and provide 30 clinic hours as part of the Team Masters Project at Keck Graduate Institute (KGI): PDEV 6000 / 5000 Team Masters Project Workshops (Fall, 1 credits) Course Description: These workshops should equip students with practical skills for successfully executing complex projects and collaborating effectively in professional settings. Topics should encompass teamwork, accountability, and conflict resolution; development of project plans and budgets; project scope management and expectation setting; communication and presentations to different audiences; project execution, risk management, and adaptation under uncertainty; and effective engagement with multiple stakeholders. The adjunct faculty will also review and provide feedback on key project deliverables, including project plans, budgets, status updates, and presentations. Clinic hours are intended to provide project-specific coaching and guidance to TMP teams throughout the project lifecycle. The adjunct faculty will advise students on project execution, team effectiveness, stakeholder engagement, and other challenges that arise during the projects. The adjunct faculty member will work closely with TMP leadership to ensure that workshop content and coaching activities align with program goals and support student success. Education and Experience: A minimum of a Master's degree in a related field. A doctoral degree is strongly preferred. A minimum of 2 years of teaching experience. Prior experience in teaching for active learning preferred. Experience with the Canvas learning management system is a plus.
