Adjunct Faculty Philosophy Department of Education and Professional Studies UMGC Stateside Location: Vandenberg Space Force Base, CA University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) seeks an adjunct faculty to teach Philosophy on-site at Vandenberg Space Force Base, CA, for the Humanities program. Specifically, we are seeking faculty for the following course(s): Introduction to Moral Philosophy and Ethical Reasoning (PHIL 140): An introductory exploration of the foundational theories of Eastern and Western moral philosophy and an examination of methods for thinking clearly about ethical issues. The objective is to employ a knowledge of moral theory and the methods of ethical reasoning to address contemporary ethical issues and dilemmas in areas such as business, medicine, information technology, and personal ethics. Required Education and Experience: • Master's degree in Philosophy or related field from an accredited institution of higher learning. • Professional experience in ethics teaching or a related field. • Experience teaching adult learners online in higher education is highly preferred. • This position is specifically to teach onsite at the Vandenberg Space Force Base, CA.
