Pharmacology Adjunct Faculty Department: School of Health, Science and Technology Office: Grand Rapids Location: Grand Rapids, Michigan Employment Type: Part-Time/Adjunct Job Summary Cornerstone University is seeking a passionate adjunct instructor to teach an undergraduate course in pharmacology. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified professional to bring expertise in pharmacology, pharmacy, medicine or a related health science field into the classroom while helping prepare students for careers and graduate study in the health professions. Cornerstone offers small class sizes that foster intentional student engagement within a collaborative, Christ-centered learning environment. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching, student mentorship and the integration of a biblical worldview with the study and practice of health science. Responsibilities Teach an undergraduate pharmacology course for students pursuing degrees and careers in biology and other health-related fields. Provide instruction in major drug classifications, mechanisms of action, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, therapeutic uses, adverse effects, contraindications and drug interactions. Help students apply pharmacological principles to clinical cases and healthcare situations. Prepare course materials, learning activities and assessments that align with established course objectives. Mentor and support students in their academic, professional and spiritual development. Qualifications Required A master's degree or higher in pharmacology, biology, medicine, biomedical science or a closely related discipline. Graduate-level coursework or professional experience directly related to pharmacology. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to communicate complex scientific and clinical concepts clearly to undergraduate students. Ability to teach a 15-week on-campus course in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Preferred
