Part-time Nursing Instructor Req No: 2026-2238 Category: Health Care Anticipated Placement: USD $48.42/Hr. * USD $60.52/Hr. Targeted Job Start Date: Overview Blackhawk Technical College is currently seeking to engage Part-time Nursing Instructors into our Associate Degree of Nursing Program to support clinical instruction. Class assignments and locations may vary from term to term. The instructor may be asked to teach at various clinical sites within the district. ResponsibilitiesProvide instruction for assigned classes, with accountability to entire program; i.e., classroom, laboratory and clinical. Provide on-site office hours during clinical teaching times, and classroom and laboratory times. Remain current with industry needs to assure graduate outcomes that meet the workplace expectations. Engage in ongoing student learning assessment to determine effectiveness of instruction and curriculum. Create a classroom/lab environment that is respectful of diversity and demonstrates a commitment to multiculturalism. Maintain accurate student records and reports as requested by administrative offices, and according to state regulations. Identify students needing assistance and refer students to Student Services. Collaborate with Student Services and the Learning Resources staff members to help students adjust to the learning environment. Remain current on developments in the teaching field so that instruction is delivered for a variety of learning styles, uses the latest supportive technology and utilizes alternative delivery methods. Maintain course curriculum following state guidelines. Prepare and update course syllabi (using BTC guidelines) for each course taught, and work cooperatively with members of other departments and programs in coordinating courses. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Nursing andCurrently enrolled in a Nursing Graduate Program or Completed graduate level coursework in clinical best practice or Have other non-graduate level clinical education or clinical best practices or Hold National Certification in the speciality they will be providing clinical instruction. Two (2) years (4,000 hours) of related work experiece as a registered nurse. Current or eligible for Wisconsin license to practice as an R.N. Must be licensed to practice as an R.N. in Wisconsin by the employment start date. License must be unencumbered. Remain current with American Heart Association Health Care Provider CPR certification.
