Teaching Position Available MACC is seeking candidates interested in teaching as a part-time instructor (adjunct faculty). These positions are contracted for a semester with pay on a per credit hour basis. Availability of adjunct faculty positions is based on enrollment in courses offered at all MACC sites. Applicants will be added to our "pool" of adjunct faculty, with credentials kept on file for three years. A Master's degree is required for most subject areas, with 18 graduate hours in the subject area, and teaching experience is preferred. The application packet must include a cover letter, resume/curriculum vitae, up-to-date graduate and undergraduate transcripts, which should all be uploaded with the application when applying. Course descriptions of the classes are available at: http://www.macc.edu/index.php/programs/course-descriptions Qualifications • Master's degree in related field required • Minimum of 18 graduate hours in the subject area • Teaching experience preferred Job Responsibilities • Teach classes assigned by the administration which could include, but are not restricted to, day, evening, dual credit, distance education, or any campus location; • Provide effective instruction that encompasses active and meaningful learning activities and frequent and timely feedback to students regarding their progress; • Develop course materials/handouts, lectures and labs, and update regularly to ensure relevancy, currency, and alignment with common course syllabus; • Provide students with a course syllabus which aligns with the common course syllabus and providex information detailing learning expectations, major assignments, and methods of evaluation, and provide a copy of this syllabus to the appropriate dean's office by the second week of each semester; • Utilize course-adopted textbook(s) and/or course resources; • Keep adequate course records including grades and attendance and submit required records to the designated office by the established date;
