This position is ineligible for health, dental, and life insurance benefits through Chicago State University. The Chemistry and Physics Department invites applications for a part-time, non-tenure track lecturer in physical science. Primary duties include teaching 1 or 2 physical science classes during the 4.5 month semester. Specific areas for which a lecturer is needed include chemistry, physics, earth science, astronomy, meteorology, and oceanography. Faculty members are expected to teach; develop syllabi and teaching materials related to courses taught, and hold regular office hours. Faculty are hired, evaluated, and retained on the basis of conditions covered in the union contract. Required Education A Master's degree or Doctorate degree from an accredited institution in any area related to Physical Science. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Teaching experience is preferred. Open Date: 02/21/2025 Close Date 06/30/2025
