Job Description The Montgomery College, Community Arts Program, is currently accepting applications for openings as a part-time faculty member teaching Visual and Performing Arts. We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated teacher who exhibits a high degree of professionalism, a strong commitment to our students, and demonstrates the ability to motivate and educate in an engaging manner. ***Montgomery College accepts applications for Adjunct/Part-time Faculty on a continuous basis. Duties and Responsibilities: Providing classroom instruction in subjects in studio art, art history and theory, theater, music, dance, or film. Working with the Program Manager to adjust classes or create new classes as necessary. Preparing a syllabus and appropriate handouts for each class. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in art related field or humanities or related field. Two years experience as a working artist related to the subjects you are teaching, with accomplishments in your area such as exhibitions, performances, lectures, residencies, awards, and/or publications. Experience teaching students 16 years of age and older.
