Part-Time Faculty, Fire and Safety Engineering Technology Eastern Kentucky University Title: Part-Time Faculty, Fire and Safety Engineering Technology Position Type: Part-Time Faculty Search Type: External - minimum 7 days Department: 25R000 - Justice, Safety & Military Science Division: 2R0000 - Academic Affairs Position Location: Richmond Campus Driver Classification: Non-Driver FLSA: Exempt Schedule Type: Part Time, No Benefits (less than 20 hrs per week) Retirement: None Contact Person: William Hicks Job Summary/Basic Functions The Department of Justice, Safety, & Military Science at Eastern Kentucky University invites applications for a part-time faculty position to teach courses in the Fire and Safety Engineering Technology program. These courses could be in any of the following degrees: Fire Protection Administration, Fire Protection and Safety Engineering Technology, and/or Fire, Arson, and Explosion, Investigation. Part-time faculty may teach up to nine credit hours, depending on departmental needs. Applicants will be screened and contacted as departmental needs for part-time faculty arise. Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis. Unofficial transcripts are acceptable at the time of application. Official transcripts are required at the time of the position offer and as a condition of employment. Qualifications: Successful candidates should have a meet the requirements set forth by SACSCOC accreditation. This will include a Master's degree in the related field, doctorate preferred. Job Duties: Teach courses as assigned at the times and in the locations necessary to meet the needs of EKU students - (Essential) Sponsorship: This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
