Job Description The Montgomery College, Rockville campus, is accepting applications for possible openings as part-time faculty teaching Accounting. We seek an enthusiastic and dedicated teacher who exhibits high professionalism, a solid commitment to our students, and the ability to motivate and educate engagingly in the classroom and a virtual environment. Available to teach during Day time classes, typically between 8:30AM and 5:00PM. ***Montgomery College continuously accepts applications for adjunct/part-time faculty as members of our accounting faculty pool. Applications may be reviewed periodically based on student enrollment needs. *** The listing of a course in the schedule of classes as “TBA” does not constitute an assignment. The hiring decision for part-time faculty involves an academic judgment and shall be determined at Management’s sole discretion. During the academic year, part-time faculty at Montgomery College may teach no more than 11.5 ESH (equivalent semester hour) per semester and no more than 23 ESH per academic year. During summer, part-time faculty at Montgomery College may teach no more than 10 ESH (equivalent semester hours) for both sessions combined. Duties and Responsibilities: Faculty members will teach Accounting, mentor and advise students, and participate in department and college activities. They will also engage in ongoing professional development (e.g., training, seminars and conferences) to stay current with cutting-edge pedagogies and methodologies. Requirements

• Communicating with excellent written and oral skills in English
• Required Qualifications: Master’s degree in Accounting or Business is required
• A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) licensure is required
• Willingness to teach classes ON-SITE at any of our three Montgomery College campuses or off-campus locations (including teaching Early College and Middle College students), requiring background checks and fingerprinting
• Current skills with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel
