About this position

The Division of Stroke (Vascular) in the Department of Neurology at Stanford University seeks a board-eligible or board-certified neurologist to join the Department as a Clinical Assistant Professor or Clinical Associate Professor in the Clinician Educator Line . The major criterion for appointment in the Clinician Educator Line is excellence in the overall mix of clinical care, teaching, administrative and/or scholarship appropriate to the programmatic need the individual is expected to fulfill. Responsibilities include providing leadership for the Stanford Stroke Clinic and attending four half-days of stroke clinic per week at Stanford (Palo Alto). Inpatient duties will be approximately twelve weeks of inpatient vascular neurology/Neurohospitalist service at Tri-Valley and taking home call those weeks on nights/weekends. Acute strokes will be handled separately by our Telestroke service. Clinics will be cancelled during the on-service weeks. This position also includes teaching of Stanford medical students, residents and fellows. Time is provided for research and/or other academic pursuits. QUALIFICATIONS : The successful applicant should have an MD (or equivalent), be board-eligible or board-certified in neurology, and have completed an ACGME-accredited Neurology residency. Board certification in Vascular Neurology and completion of a Vascular Neurology fellowship is desirable but not required.
