Online Adjunct Instructor – College Introductory Biology: Pre-Nursing and Allied Health

Role Overview: Seeking an experienced higher education educator for dedicated 1-on-1 online instruction and academic coaching for a community college student enrolled in Introductory Biology (Pre-Nursing / Allied Health track). Key Requirement: Prior college-level teaching experience as a Biology Instructor or Adjunct Professor is strictly required. BIOL 102 Introductory Biology: Pre-Nursing and Allied Health 4.00 Units Full-Semester Explore the fundamental principles of biological systems, including the chemistry of life, cell structure and function, energy transfer, cell division, and classical and molecular genetics. This course prepares pre-nursing and allied health majors for 200-level biology courses, and strives to make the content accessible by providing support for different learning styles and needs. Timeline: Current through December 17th. Commitment: 4 hours per week, 2 sessions (2 hours/each). Student Availability (PST): Weekends open, weekdays after 5:00pm Teaching Experience & Methods: Proven background in college-level teaching, lecturing, or academic instruction (e.g., Adjunct Professor, Instructor, or TA) with a genuine passion for the subject matter. Demonstrated ability to adapt teaching methods for non-standard learning styles and student-specific needs. Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Strong verbal and written communication, paired with patience, empathy, and the ability to motivate and inspire students.
