GENERAL JOB SUMMARY: The Medication Manager Instructor is responsible for providing high-quality instruction to students enrolled in the Medication Manager course. The instructor will prepare students to safely and accurately administer medications within the scope of a Medication Manager while following applicable state regulations, course curriculum, and program requirements. Lead- regardless of title, through positive influence. DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:Provide instruction in accordance with the approved Medication Manager curriculum and established course objectives. Teach medication administration principles, procedures, and safety practices. Provide instruction and demonstration of required Medication Manager skills, including topical medication administration and other applicable medication-related procedures. Evaluate student competency and provide appropriate feedback and remediation when needed. Maintain accurate attendance, grades, and other required course documentation. Maintain a positive, professional, and supportive learning environment. Promote safe practices and reinforce the importance of following medication administration policies and procedures. Communicate promptly with Continuing Education staff regarding student concerns, attendance issues, or other situations that may affect successful course completion. Maintain confidentiality of student information. Attend instructor meetings, training, or professional development as required. Individuals may perform other duties as assigned. PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES WITH/WITHOUT REASONABLE ACCOMMODATION: Position involves working in a classroom setting. Occasional (10-33%) standing, pushing, pulling and grasping. Frequent (34-66%) reaching utilizing art equipment and other types of close visual work. Constant (67-100%) sitting, walking, repetitive motion, talking and hearing. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license. Clinical experience related to medication administration and direct patient care. Knowledge of safe medication administration practices. Ability to effectively teach and demonstrate clinical skills to adult learners. Ability to work independently while collaborating with Continuing Education staff. Basic computer skills and ability to utilize online learning and communication platforms.
