Prepares students to pass the CPC examination. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Presents facilitative, well prepared, organized, and clear lectures and classroom activities consistent with the course syllabus (AAPC curriculum, medical terminology, anatomy & physiology, advanced medical coding, HCPCS coding, ICD-10 coding) and school policies Continually promotes students' development and effective use of skills in areas such as critical and analytical thinking, evaluation, communication, professionalism, customer service, computation, problem solving, and decision-making Continually promotes students' development and effective use of skills in areas such as critical and analytical thinking, evaluation, communication, professionalism, customer service, computation, problem solving, and decision-making Ability to instruct through remote and in-person delivery (Blackboard, virtual classroom, and/or online using a Learning Management System) Provides the student with timely information and feedback on his/her academic progress relative to quizzes, tests, homework and projects Maintains accurate, up-to-date records of student academic and attendance performance Possesses a thorough knowledge and understanding of all College policies, and actively participate in their implementation and enforcement Follows all retention policies of the College to ensure students are in attendance Performs other duties as assigned REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE/TRAINING Must be a Certified Professional Coder Instructor (CPC-I) with the AAPC Minimum of three years of experie
