Job Summary: Red Rocks Community College is seeking part-time Ceramics Instructors provides studio-based instruction in foundational and advanced ceramics courses, including Ceramics I and II, with emphasis on wheel-throwing, hand-building, and slip-casting techniques. The position manages daily studio and kiln operations, including kiln loading and firing, glaze chemistry, equipment use, and procurement of raw materials. The instructor is responsible for maintaining a safe learning environment by implementing and enforcing established safety protocols related to clay dust, ventilation, chemicals, and studio equipment. The position also develops and delivers course materials, assesses and documents student learning and progress, and submits grades and required academic records in accordance with institutional policies and established timelines. In this role, instructors will be responsible for teaching courses, both on-campus and online, in alignment with the philosophy, policies, and procedures of the Colorado Community College System.
