As an I-BEST Transitional Studies faculty member, you’ll team teach alongside professional-technical faculty while providing hands-on academic support, mentorship, and connections to resources that help students overcome barriers and achieve their goals. This is an exciting opportunity to collaborate across programs and make a meaningful impact on student success, retention, and career readiness. Salary: For fall quarter (September 22-December 11) this assignment provides a 121-hour contract at a $72.89 hourly rate. This position is grant-funded and has the possibility of continuing through the academic year. HVAC-R classes are scheduled Monday-Thursday. While I-BEST assignments are flexible, work hours will generally occur during these days and around morning class hours, with some afternoons being needed. • Team teach HVAC-R courses as Transitional Studies faculty with a focus on literacy, basic math, and study skills alongside subject-matter professional-technical expert and program lead • Serve as point of contact for I-BEST program students when they need referrals to resources or encounter barriers • Assist I-BEST students with elements of college preparedness, including study skills, technology skills, time management, academic tutoring, barrier identification and problem solving • Assist the HVAC-R program with implementing and coordinating coursework and student support • Collaborate with instructors in HVAC-R and Transitional Studies to develop integrative lessons and assignments; • Consult with other college faculty and staff on issues relevant to student success and retention • Work with Transitional Studies Dean and program staff to ensure required data collection and compliance • Work with students, faculty, and staff from diverse backgrounds and experiences • Participate in departmental meetings and activities • Contribute to
