University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) seeks adjunct faculty to teach on-site at Fort Bliss for the History program. History of the United States to 1865: A survey of the United States from colonial times to the end of the Civil War. The establishment and development of national institutions are traced. The aim is to locate, evaluate, and use primary and secondary sources and interpret current events and ideas in a historical context. Required Education and Experience: A Masters degree in US History or related field from an accredited institution of higher learning Professional experience in US History or a related field Prior teaching experience required; Experience teaching adult learners online and in higher education is strongly preferred. This position is specifically to teach at Fort Bliss, Texas.
