Job Summary: The English Program at RRCC is seeking part-time instructors to teach in-person first-year composition courses. Part-time instructors assist the English Program in its mission to foster critical thinking, inspire creative expression, and empower students of all backgrounds and abilities to fully participate in a complex, literate society. Responsibilities include class preparation and instruction, grade and record keeping, student communication and support outside of scheduled class time, timely communication with peers and supervisors, and participation in department meetings when possible. This position reports to the English Program's Adjunct Coordinator. Instruction primarily includes face-to-face delivery, but may include online components, including use of online platforms (D2L) and OER materials. Classes may be held during the day, evenings, and/or on weekends. It may require hours outside of a normal work schedule. This position may work up to 28 hours per week, depending on budget and need.
