FLSA: Non-Exempt FT/PT: Part Time Hours Per Week: Flexible; based on course and laboratory assignments Work Schedule: Flexible; may include daytime, evening, and occasional weekend assignments Position Salary Range: See Adjunct Salary Schedule Summary: Howard Community College seeks student-centered emergency medical services professionals to join its adjunct faculty pool. Adjunct faculty support Emergency Medical Responder, Emergency Medical Technician, and Paramedic education through classroom, laboratory, simulation, and skills-based instruction. Assignments are made according to program needs and the instructor's credentials, experience, and availability. The successful candidate will bring current clinical knowledge, sound professional judgment, and an engaging approach to adult learning. Adjunct faculty work collaboratively with the EMS Program Director, full-time faculty, and other instructional team members to prepare students for Maryland and national certification, safe entry-level practice, and continued professional growth. The position requires the sensory and physical abilities necessary to communicate effectively and to demonstrate, observe, and evaluate EMS procedures in classroom, laboratory, and simulation settings.
