About this position

University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) seeks adjunct faculty to teach remotely for the World Languages/Cultures program. Elementary Korean I (KORN 111): An introduction to foundational Korean language and culture. The aim is to develop speaking, listening, reading, writing, and typing skills and use high-frequency vocabulary and key expressions to interact in familiar settings. Topics include Hangeul (Korean alphabet), greetings, self-introductions, locations, and cultural norms. Required Education and Experience: Master's Degree in Korean, Korean language pedagogy, Korean linguistics, or a related field from an accredited institution of higher learning. Three (3) years of experience teaching the Korean language Experience teaching adult learners online and in higher education is strongly preferred This position is specifically to teach remotely. Materials needed for submission Resume/Curriculum Vitae Cover letter highly preferred If selected, candidates with international degrees may be required to submit a translation/degree evaluation from a NACES approved vendor.
