College of Education University Supervisor Part Time JR-10005 JOB SUMMARY: University Supervisors are clinical educators who serve as a liaison between Clemson University and partner school sites within our network. Supervisors provide supervision and mentorship for teacher candidates during their field experiences, providing support and feedback throughout the program. Performs other duties as assigned. JOB DUTIES: 70% - Observe teacher candidates while conducting classroom instruction and evaluate candidate assignments. 15% - Mentor and evaluate teacher education candidates during their clinical experiences/student teaching. 15% - Liaise with the cooperating teacher, teacher candidate, and College of Education. RESPONSIBILITIES: JOB KNOWLEDGE Fundamental working knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures and ability to apply in varied situations. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Not responsible for supervising employees. BUDGETARY RESPONSIBILITIES Fiscal Responsibilities: Fiscal responsibilities for the department's budget, including but not limited to, financial planning and managing fund allocation PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Communicate, converse, give direction, express oneself: 50% Walk or move about: 20% WORKING CONDITIONS: None: % WORK SCHEDULE: Standard Hours: 18 COMPENSATION INFORMATION:Expected Salary Range $0.00 - $500.00 Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines. ESSENTIAL PERSONNEL LEVEL: Normal Operations - Required to follow emergency facility closure and modified operations directives, and not normally expected to work on-site during emergency situations.
