Job Summary Schoolcraft College is seeking an instructor to develop and deliver instructional content for non-credit ceramics courses, create lesson plans, provide hands-on instruction and guidance to students, and ensure adherence to all studio safety protocols and procedures. Personal & Professional Learning offers a diverse range of non-credit courses and programs designed to enrich the lives of adult and senior learners. Classes are taught by experienced professionals who bring expertise, creativity, and passion to the learning experience. Instructors may develop and teach new courses or lead existing offerings in their area of expertise. Classes vary in format, schedule, and duration, ranging from single-session workshops to multi-week courses and full-semester programs. Successful candidates will create engaging, welcoming, and inclusive learning environments that encourage creativity, skill development, and lifelong learning. Job Duties Schoolcraft College Personal & Professional Learning is seeking an instructor to teach non-credit ceramics courses in accordance with approved course outlines, studio policies, and safety procedures. Prepare and deliver engaging instructional content, demonstrate ceramic techniques, monitor student progress and maintain a safe and organized studio environment. Required Qualifications Previous ceramics teaching experience. Demonstrated knowledge of ceramic techniques, processes, tools, and studio practices. Ability to maintain a safe and productive learning environment. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of ceramic supplies, kiln firing, equipment, and materials. Demonstrated ability to work with students exhibiting varied skill levels and learning styles.
