Hours per Week: Not to exceed 19 hours a week Hourly or Salaried: Hourly Funding source: Revenue Funded Location: DIS - Workforce Center of Excellence Requisition #: req14037 Outside working hours if other than M-F 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.: Schedule can include evening and/or weekends. Job Summary and Description Position responsible for teaching Continuing Education classes. Continuing Education Instructors are hired in a part-time capacity contingent upon the needs of the department. Classes are offered during daytime, evenings, and weekends as well as some College holidays. Classes are offered at various times and locations during the academic year. Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience:High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Five (5) years of construction workplace safety and health work experience in the construction industry. Preferred Education and Experience:Three (3) years of teaching experience. Familiarity with DOT regulations dealing with hazardous materials. Licenses and Certifications:OSHA qualified (per OSHA standards) to teach the OSHA-10 or OSHA-30 General Industry approved courses. EEO Statement
