Hours per Week: Not to exceed 19 hours a week Hourly or Salaried: Hourly Funding source: Revenue Funded Location: DIS - Workforce Center of Excellence Requisition #: req13853 Outside working hours if other than M-F 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.: Schedule can include evening and/or weekends Job Summary and Description Position responsible for teaching Continuing Education classes. Continuing Education Instructors are hired in a part-time capacity contingent upon the needs of the department. Classes are offered during daytime, evenings, and weekends as well as some College holidays. Classes are offered at various times and locations during the academic year. Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience:High school diploma or equivalent (GED). Five (5) years of work experience in heavy equipment, diesel technology, or construction equipment maintenance. Hands-on experience with OEM systems (Caterpillar, John Deere, Case, Kubota, etc.) Knowledge of hydraulic systems, powertrains, electrical systems, and equipment inspection procedures. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong technical troubleshooting and equipment service skills. Preferred Education and Experience: Associate degree or technical certificate in Diesel/Heavy Equipment technology or related field. OEM certifications of major equipment manufacturers. Experience with rental-fleet Make Ready processes. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. EEO Statement
