Hours per Week: Not to exceed 19 hours a week Hourly or Salaried: Hourly Funding source: Revenue Funded Location: DIS - Workforce Center of Excellence Requisition #: req14251 Outside working hours if other than M-F 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.: Schedule can include evening and/or weekends. Job Summary and Description Position responsible for teaching Continuing Education classes. Continuing Education Instructors are hired in a part-time capacity contingent upon the needs of the department. Classes are offered during daytime, evenings, and weekends as well as some College holidays. Classes are offered at various times and locations during the academic year. Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience:High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Five (5) years of work experience in CISSP. Current CISSP certification in good standing. Current ISC2 instructor authorization/certification required to deliver official ISC2 CISSP training, or ability to satisfy ISC2 instructor authorization requirements prior to independently delivering an official course. Demonstrated professional experience in cybersecurity, information security, information technology, or a closely related field. Strong working knowledge of the CISSP Common Body of Knowledge and its application within enterprise environments. Ability to effectively facilitate technical and managerial cybersecurity instruction for adult learners and working professionals. Strong verbal communication, presentation, classroom facilitation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to deliver the official ISC2 curriculum while providing appropriate real-world context and examples without compromising required course content.
