The Office of Distance Education and Professional Studies is committed to expanding access to innovative, flexible, and workforce-aligned educational opportunities that support traditional, adult, military-affiliated, transfer, and non-traditional learners. Through interdisciplinary instruction and applied learning experiences, the Applied Pathways Initiative bridges academic study with professional practice, workforce readiness, leadership development, and career advancement. Minimum QualificationsCommitment to serving diverse student populations and non-traditional learners. Ability to effectively teach in online, hybrid, hyflex, and/or face-to-face learning environments. Experience with online instruction, instructional technologies, or Quality Matters standards (leans toward experience but is typically treated as a functional competency/skill in postings). Demonstrated commitment to innovation, inclusive teaching, mentorship, and applied learning practices. *Virginia State University requires that faculty be appropriately credentialed to teach assigned courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
