All applicants are expected to meet the California State Community College Minimum Qualifications for Astronomy instructors. Meeting the minimum qualifications does not guarantee employment or an interview. QualificationsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Master's in physics, astronomy or astrophysics; OR Bachelor's in physics or astronomy AND Master's in engineering, mathematics, meteorology or geophysics; OR The equivalent. Valid lifetime credential that authorizes service as an instructor in Astronomy in a California Community College; AND Demonstrated evidence of sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds in a community college environment. MEETING MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS DOES NOT ASSURE THE CANDIDATE OF AN INTERVIEW.
