Work Location: Springfield Campus Out-of-State Employment Out-of-state employment is limited to Arkansas, Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, D.C., and subject to supervisor approval. Department: Mathematics Sponsorship Information Applicants must be currently authorized to work for ANY employer in the United States on a full-time basis. This position is not eligible for work visa sponsorship. Term Spring Semester (per course faculty only) Begin Date -Spring Term 01/11/2027 Maximum credit hours Per Course faculty can teach 12 Credit Hours per 12 Month Period - Springfield Campus Description of Primary Duties Per Course Instructors should be qualified to teach MTH 101 or 103 Intermediate Algebra, MTH 130 Contemporary Math, MTH 134 Algebraic Reasoning and Modeling, MTH 136 Precalculus I, and MTH 450 Theory of Interest.. We may also have need of Per Course instruction for MTH 320 Foundations of Mathematics for Teachers and courses in the graduate EMS program. Per Course Faculty are expected to hold office hours, submit grades according to University schedule, and participate in group grading sessions (where used for particular courses). Minimum Acceptable Qualifications Per Course Faculty should possess a master's degree or the equivalent professional experience in a field determined acceptable by the Dean. Additional Qualifications Per Course faculty must have a minimum of 18 credit hours in graduate level mathematics content coursework.
