About this position

Job Summary This is a part-time position responsible for providing effective 100% on-line instruction and assessing students’ performance for 1-2 assigned courses per semester. , Responsibilities and Duties (*Essential Functions) To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential job functions satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the primary job functions herein described. • Must complete all mandatory adjunct and institutional directed training as assigned by the college. • Prepares thoroughly for each instructional hour. • Grades and returns student work in a timely manner consistently and against established standards. • Provides constructive, actionable feedback that supports student growth through grading of assignments. • Conducts a minimum of 3 virtual class meetings per course per semester via MS Teams. • Assists with establishing goals and objectives for assigned courses; provides course feedback and recommendations to the Program Director, SCM. Counsels students regarding grades and progress in each course. Attends meetings scheduled by the Program Director, SCM. Attends Wake Tech career fairs as requested., Qualifications Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Demonstrated ability to apply clear grading rubrics and criteria consistently online. In-depth knowledge of the supply chain industry to evaluate online content accuracy, critical thinking, and application of concepts. Skilled in proofreading, grammar, punctuation, and spelling correction applying appropriate tone and clarity for constructive feedback in online written assignments. Ability to evaluate referencing and sourcing against MLA standards for citations in online writing assignments. Understanding of academic integrity policies and plagiarism detection tools (e.g., SafeAssign). Computer skills using basic functions of MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Outlook, and proficiency in MS Ex
