About this position

The Tennessee College of Applied Technology - Dickson is accepting applications for the part-time position of Adjunct Instructor for the Early Technical College Pharmacy Technology class at the Clarksville Campus. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS High school diploma or equivalent. Post-secondary credential from an accredited institution preferred. Minimum of one (1) years of experience as a Certified Pharmacy Technician. Current nationally recognized Pharmacy Technician certification or ability to obtain certification within six (6) months. Prior teaching or evidence of ability to teach students a plus. SKILLS Must possess the organization and communication skills necessary to be an effective teacher and to interact with high school students. Must show evidence of good character, mature attitude and stable personality. Must be willing to remain current in the field of instruction. Must be a self-starter and have the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, faculty, staff, the general public and business/industry representatives. Computer skills and ability to adapt quickly to new technology required. Must be willing and able to perform administrative duties in a timely manner. GENERAL DUTIES: The Adjunct Instructor in the Early Technical College Pharmacy Technology class is responsible for providing in-person theory and hands-on skills instruction to dual-enrolled high school students. The Adjunct Instructor must monitor, grade and evaluate individual student progress; maintain student records in the college’s student records management software; maintain appropriate documentation; submit timely reports; and other duties as assigned. This position is part-time and reports to the Director of Healthcare Programs. Scheduled work hours are Monday through Friday from 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. between August and May each year. Scheduled class hours are 2:30 p.m. to 5:30
