Incumbents must teach all assigned classes and hours as determined by semester course schedule; Incumbents will be required to prepare and deliver relevant curriculum to students in the, using a variety of teaching methods to include, but not limited to, lecture, class discussion, demonstration labs, and projects. The University of the District of Columbia - Division of Workforce Development and Lifelong Learning (UDC-WDLL), a branch campus of the University of the District of Columbia (UDC), is seeking enthusiastic and qualified part-time instructors interested in teaching courses in one or more of the following areas within the Direct Healthcare Pathway: 1) EKG Technician 2) Dialysis Technician 3) Medical Assistant 4) Nursing Assistant 5) Patient Care Technician 6) Pharmacy Technician 7) Phlebotomy Technician 8) Medical Assistant, 9) Pharmacy Technician. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provide hands-on, guided, differentiated instruction to students enrolled in the courses as specified in the schedule and course contract. Participate in evaluating and selecting assigned text and instructional materials; prepare course materials and lesson plans. Conduct efficient and effective classroom management. Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in subject matter area
• Prior teaching experience in the subject field/industry or must demonstrate evidence of teaching potential
• Must possess current certification in subject matter (Certification must be the same as the course being taught)
• Be familiar with subject area certification processes, guidelines, and procedures
