Duquesne University: BSNES: Department of Physics Location: Duquesne University Description: Position Summary: The Department of Physics at Duquesne University is seeking applications for an adjunct instructor position to teach in person a section of algebra-based general physics for undergraduate students with majors predominantly in the health and life sciences. Openings available for fall 2025 and beyond. Responsibilities: -Teach one section of the course per semester in person. -Develop and deliver engaging lectures. -Assess student performance through assignments and exams. -Maintain regular office hours and provide academic support to students. -Collaborate with department faculty to ensure curriculum alignment. Qualifications: Required Qualifications: Degree in a STEM discipline. Experience teaching general physics at college or AP high-school level. Excellent interpersonal skills. Enthusiasm for working with students with no previous exposure to physics. Preferred Attributes: Familiarity with applications of physics to health is a plus.
