About this position

Duty Schedule: Class schedule Summary/Objective of Position: Adjunct faculty is responsible for instruction, assessment, advising, committee work, and service to the College.   One position per Dine College Campus sites (Shiprock and Crownpoint). Instruction and curriculum.  Adjunct are hired by semester basis, depending on instructional need basis.Times, days, and site(s) for teaching of courses vary and mode of delivery may include distance education,zoom and blackboard. As a multi site college an adjunct faculty may be required to teach at satellite centers. Assessment of courses and programs, academic advising and mentoring. Collaboration with the College through student advising, service learning, etc. It is a policy that an adjunct faculty may not teach more than 9 credit per semesters. There are no medical/dental benefits provided to adjunct faculty. State and federal taxes, FICA and social security will be withheld for all adjunct faculty.Knowledge: Oral fluency in Navajo is required and literacy skills in Navajo is highly desirable, but not mandatory.   An adjunct faculty is expected to have a high degree of proficiency in computer software used to support the administration of higher education.  Software use include but is not limited to, general office functions such as MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and internet services. • Software use include but is not limited to, general office functions such as MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and internet services
• As noted, an adjunct faculty may be required to travel to and teach at the Crownpoint site
