Job Title: Adjunct Faculty, Theatre (Costume and Make-Up Design) Full or Part Time: Part time Hours: 9 Exempt: Yes Supervisory Org: Theatre (JM-AJ) Job Description: JOB SUMMARY: The Department of Theatre at SVSU seeks a part-time instructor for winter semester 2027 to teach a 3-credit junior-level course in Costume and Make-Up Design (THEA 370). The expectation is for in-person, on-campus teaching and the ability to teach and mentor a broad spectrum of undergraduate students. The class meets on Mondays and Wednesdays from 1:00 pm - 2:20 pm. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Master's degree in Theatre or closely related field Experience in Costume Design and Make-Up Design Experience and ability to positively interact with all members of the campus community. Ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodations. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:College-level teaching experience REQUIRED DOCUMENTS AND MATERIALS:Curriculum Vitae Cover Letter Contact information for three or more references WORKING CONDITIONS:Duties are generally performed inside and not exposed to adverse conditions. All work associated with this role must be performed within the state of Michigan. Scheduled weekly hours vary depending on class contract load.
