Adjunct Faculty, Survey of World Religions (In-Person) Job Category: Job Type: (Part-Time) Adjunct Faculty Supervisor's Title: Gabe Knight Location: Scott Community College (10) Salary $800 per credit hour Job Description Responsible for teaching courses and assessing learning outcomes in REL 101 Survey of World Religions. Must be available to teach on campus during daytime hours for Spring 2027 semester. In-person two days per week Wednesday and Friday; approximately 10:00am-3:30pm. This position will be based at a local partner campus in Scott County. Please indicate your availability in your cover letter. Courses run January 19, 2027 thru May 14, 2027. Must demonstrate excellence in teaching and service. Must demonstrate a commitment to the mission and values of the community college. Required Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Master's Degree in Religion or Theology or a Master's Degree with 12 graduate semester hours in Religion, Theology, Cultural Studies, Humanities, and/or Philisophy. Six graduate semester hours must be in Religion or Theology. Community College teaching or training experience is preferred. Preferred Qualifications Physical Demands PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Ability to lift up to 10 lbs. occasionally, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Typical Duties and Responsibilities Teach courses in accordance with outcomes identified in the established course development model.
