Position Overview The Department of Marketing & Management at Rider University seeks an adjunct instructor of Sport Management for the Spring semester beginning January 2027. This position is to teach Sport Management courses such as Introduction to the Business of Sports, Contemporary Issues in Sport Management, Economics of Sports, Business of Global Sport, Sports Analytics, and more. Successful applicants must be able to teach courses in person on the Rider campus; some classes are fully in-person and others are hybrid, with some in-person sessions required. Of immediate need is an instructor for Sports Analytics. This course addresses the theory, development, and application of analytics in sports. Analytics refers to the use of statistical techniques and visualizations to measure performance and make decisions. Students will learn about the application of analytics in sports for purposes of strategy, player performance, team management, sports operations and fantasy competitions. The Spring 2027 section of Sports Analytics will be offered on Tuesday evenings from 6:30-9:30pm in hybrid format with the option for some online sessions. Salary is $4,215.98 for a 3-credit course. Please note that a full course is considered to have 9 students enrolled in the course.
