About this position

Shenandoah University’s School of Business invites applications for an adjunct faculty pool to teach graduate-level business courses in a fully online, asynchronous format. Inclusion in the pool does not guarantee a teaching assignment. Appointments are made on a course-by-course basis as programmatic needs arise. Areas of instruction may include: • Managerial and Financial Accounting • Microeconomics and Macroeconomics • Principles of Marketing • Principles of Finance • Business Statistics and Business Analytics Courses typically are 1.5 or 3.0 graduate credit hours and are delivered online in accelerated sessions throughout the year. Qualifications • A terminal degree in a relevant discipline is preferred. A master’s degree with substantial professional experience may be considered. Because the School of Business maintains accreditation standards that emphasize faculty scholarship, preference will be given to candidates with peer‑reviewed publications in their discipline. Applicants should include any peer‑reviewed scholarship in their application materials. Approved adjunct faculty may be required to complete online teaching training prior to assignment. How to Apply: The complete application will include a cover letter indicating teaching areas, curriculum vitae, list of peer‑reviewed publications (if applicable), and contact information for three professional references. Applications will be reviewed immediately and will continue on a rolling basis. Note: A pre‑employment background check will be required, and a satisfactory driving record may be required as a condition of hire. Authorized to work in the United States is a pre‑condition of employment. At this time, Shenandoah University is not in a position to sponsor international visas. Shenandoah University values individuals and communities' unique and diverse perspectives locally and globally. It seeks to foster mutual understanding in an inviting community where individuals are welcome and respected.
