Department: 212110 - Philosophy Position Summary La Salle University's Philosophy program (in the Humanity & Society department) has an ongoing need for highly qualified adjunct faculty to teach a variety of courses each semester on an "as needed" basis. Courses generally taught by adjunct faculty may include: Ethics & the Good Life or The Examined Life. These courses are generally offered in person, in the daytime. For more information about the Philosophy program, please visit https://www.lasalle.edu/programs/philosophy/ Essential Duties Teach assigned course(s). Prepare course materials consistent with departmental learning objectives. Provide timely grading and feedback to students. Provide guidance and support to students. Required Qualifications Master's degree in Philosophy or closely related field. Knowledge and commitment to the mission of La Salle University. Previous experience teaching at the collegiate level. Preferred Qualifications Ph.D. in Philosophy. Willingness to be flexible in class scheduling. Physical Requirements and/or Unusual Work Hours Some classes offered may be in the evenings, on weekends, or online. Special Instructions to Applicant This is a pooled position from which Adjunct Instructors will be selected when/if a need arises in the department.
