About this position

Description The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at Assumption University seeks to hire part-time adjunct instructors to staff several sections of MAT 114: Elementary Functions, a course in algebra and precalculus. The courses are in-person, and all faculty are required to keep office hours: two hours per class section. Adjuncts are welcomed as important contributors to the department and to our students. They are provided with office space, email, voicemail, support for using our learning management system (Brightspace), and other resources needed for quality teaching. Successful candidates may have the possibility of teaching additional courses in subsequent semesters. Application Instructions: Please submit a letter of interest, current curriculum vitae, and the names and contact information for two references who can attest to the applicant's teaching experience and qualifications. In the cover letter, we invite candidates to describe their teaching experiences. Finalists will also be asked to provide official transcripts of academic work from the highest degree-granting institution and two written letters of recommendation.
