The department is searching for an instructor for the spring semester to teach one or more of the following course(s): ENR 204 - Mechanics of Materials (2 lecture contact hours/week and 2 lab contact hours/week)Days and Times: Lecture: Mondays 2:00-3:50 PM; Lab: Wednesdays 2:00-3:50 PM Method: Traditional/In-Person Location: Main Campus in Poughkeepsie ENR 209 - Mechanics of Materials (3 lecture contact hours/week) Days and Times: Lecture: Mondays and Wednesdays 6:30-7:45 PM Method: Traditional/In-Person Location: Main Campus in Poughkeepsie ENR 102 - Computer Programming for Engineers Days and Times: Lecture: Tuesdays and Thursdays 10:30-12:20 AM and 2:00-3:50 PM Method: Traditional/In-Person Location: Main Campus in Poughkeepsie Part-time faculty teach assigned class material in accordance with learning objectives developed by the department. Job Requirements: Minimum QualificationsMaster's degree in Mechanical Engineering Official transcripts required upon hire. High School Teaching Certification OR experience teaching college-level engineering courses OR 5 years' experience training/teaching and evaluating the performance of others in a professional setting Effective interpersonal and communication skills. Preferred QualificationsMaster's degree or PhD. in Mechanical Engineering Experience teaching at the college level, particularly at a community college. Experience using a Learning Management System such as Brightspace, Blackboard, Canvas, Moodle, etc. A commitment to diversity and an understanding of how diversity impacts learning and instruction.
