JOB TYPE: Adjunct Faculty SALARY RANGE: $1,000 - $1,350 per credit START DATE: As soon as Possible FLSA STATUS: Exempt APPLICATION DEADLINE: Dec 08, 2026 CONTACT: Complete Online application Position Summary: The Master of Public Health (MPH) Program at Long Island University seeks a qualified Adjunct Faculty member to teach MPH 740: Program Planning and Evaluation during the Fall 2026 semester. The successful candidate will possess expertise in public health program planning, implementation, and evaluation, with the ability to teach graduate students using current evidence-based practices and applied public health frameworks. The instructor will be responsible for developing and delivering engaging course content; preparing a syllabus that outlines course objectives, learning outcomes, instructional methods, assignments, and grading policies; maintaining the course in Brightspace; conducting weekly class sessions either in person or synchronously via Microsoft Teams in accordance with the program schedule; maintaining regular office hours to provide academic support and mentoring to students; and fulfilling all University responsibilities related to grading, attendance, and academic policies. Faculty are expected to create an engaging and inclusive learning environment that promotes critical thinking, evidence-based decision making, ethical reasoning, effective communication, and the application of public health principles to contemporary health challenge. Required Qualifications:Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or DrPH) in Public Health or a closely related discipline. Demonstrated expertise in public health program planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation. Evidence of successful graduate-level teaching or training experience.
