ADJUNCT FACULTY (Law, Economics, Accounting, Generative AI, Esports/Drone Technology, Human Resources) NON-TENURE TRACK Department of Business Morris Brown College Atlanta, Georgia Overview Morris Brown College Department of Business is currently seeking faculty in the following disciplines to include but not limited to: Accounting, Economics, Generative AI, Esports/Drone Technology, Human Resources, and Law (See catalog on college website for further details). Job Duties Job duties include, but are not limited to, the following requirements as defined by TRACS accreditation standards, the board-approved Faculty Handbook, administrative policies, and state requirements set forth by The Georgia Nonpublic Postsecondary Education Commission (GNPEC). Faculty members are expected to be effective teachers and excel in course instruction. The minimum expectations of faculty who teach at Morris Brown College are outlined below: Teaching Effectiveness Possess thorough and accurate knowledge of the specific field or discipline, including the ability to evaluate and apply contentSelect and develop instructional materials; plan and organize instruction to enhance student learning; create appropriate assignments to encourage student learning, the development of communication skills, and higher-order thinking; and use available instructional technology, as appropriateUse a variety of proven methods of engagement and assessment that facilitate student mastery of contentProvide students constructive, encouraging, and corrective feedbackEvaluate student learning by creating and applying course competencies and accurately assessing student progressStrive to increase teaching effectiveness through appropriate teaching and learning strategies; evaluate student learning and modify instructional methods as needed to meet diverse student needs Content Expertise Demonstrate deep subject knowledge, including key concepts, current and relevant research, methodologies, tools an
Requirements
- Demonstrate deep subject knowledge, including key concepts, current and relevant research, methodologies, tools and techniques, and meaningful applications
- Adjunct faculty are required to teach one or more courses in which they hold at least a master's degree or have completed 18 graduate hours in the relevant subject area
- Faculty members teaching in Esports or Hospitality may qualify with a minimum of a bachelor's degree if they have extensive experience in the field
- An equivalent combination of education and related teaching experience may be considered
- Adjunct faculty must complete required instructional technology training and demonstrate proficiency in the Morris Brown College Learning Management System, Brightspace, prior to being assigned a teaching load
