Position Type: Part Time Description STATUS: PART-TIME, SALARIED Lake Erie College, a small, co-educational, four-year, independent liberal arts college located in Painesville, OH, 30 miles east of Cleveland, invites applicants for Adjunct Faculty, Biology reporting to the Program Director of Environmental Science/ Biology. Responsibilities: Teaches in-person undergraduate introductory-level laboratories in Biology II (three laboratory sections on Tuesday). Laboratories focus on biodiversity, ecology, and evolution. Works from provided syllabus and engages students in activities in alignment with the course description and student learning outcomes. Provides assessment of students and supports college assessment needs. Uses collaborative approaches, instructional technology and innovative methods. Qualifications Preferred Qualifications & Key Competencies Minimum of a Master's Degree in Biology, or closely related field provided the applicant's transcripts demonstrate completion of at least 18 semester credit hours (or equivalent quarter hours) of specific coursework in relevant field. Demonstrates a commitment to excellence in teaching in a liberal arts college environment. Must be able to teach in person. The candidate must have a growth and "doer" mindset; an institutional teamwork ethic; be creative, strategic, thoughtful; and have a sense of humor.
