Position Title Adjunct Faculty - Allied Health Full-Time/Part-Time Part Time Work Schedule Adjunct position; part time Salary Per hiring guidelines Campus/Center District Wide Location Peosta, IA Job Goal Provide effective instruction and carry out assigned related responsibilities. Qualifications • Possess and maintain current Iowa RN License • Minimum of two years RN experience required, at least one year of which must be in the provision of long-term-care facility services • Experience in teaching adults, have experience teaching nurse aides, or have completed or be willing to complete a course in teaching adults • Capable of meeting Iowa Department of Inspection and Appeals qualifications and College’s credentialing requirements • Ability to be a clear and professional communicator • Possess strong clinical skills • Meet health compliance requirements for employment, as applicable Duties and Responsibilities Possess a comprehensive understanding and direct experience within the area of instruction. Possess the ability to demonstrate respect for and sensitivity to a diverse student population. Possess ability to develop, organize, and present various curriculum concepts to wide diversity of students. Establish and maintain positive personal/professional working relationships with students, colleagues, staff, administrators, and all community contacts. Possess ability to communicate orally and in writing. Possess ability to work with personalities of diverse backgrounds in the classroom and in work groups with colleagues. Assist with development of retention and recruiting strategies. As an NICC employee, support the college mission and maintain conduct in a positive/professional manner which comports with NICC policies and procedures.
